EiE Basic Enhanced Course for Poly Students
These students had undergone a 2 day EiE Basic Course held on 18th and 19th September2013. Led by 2 dedicated facilitators, the students were separated into 3 groups to facilitate sharing. Through the facilitated discussions, students tackled barriers to integration such as stereotypes and prejudice. The students bonded well through the games and disussion sessions while appreciating each others’ cultural differences.
When asked how will the course benefit the students in their daily life, some of the 52 students from the 5 Polytechnics gave the following comments.
Some of the lessons learnt are:
To be more courageous and to step out of my comfort zone. And most importantly, look at international students in a different yet positive light.

I am not open-minded as of now than before & I would not judge as quickly as in the past.”
