OnePeople.sg and Inter-Religious Organisation, Singapore, held their 6th Interfaith Dialogue at OPSG Hall of Trust on the 25th of November 2009 with 50 participants from all walks of life. We are honoured to have Swami Samachittananda from Ramakrishna Mission, Singapore, to share with us the origins of Hinduism and the essence of epic Hindu scriptures such as Bhagavad Gita.

The concept of karma, yoga, and the various rituals and practices associated with the Hindu religion were introduced to the audiences. Enthusiastic audience expressed their views and also inquired more in depth about Hinduism during the dialogue session. Learning continued during the tea-break and extended beyond the session as keen learners continued to seek knowledge from Swami Samachittananda. It was indeed an enriching session for all, and furthermore, Swami Samachittananda and his dedicated team brought along numerous reading materials, and many participants ended the wonderful session with an armful of interesting references.
The next OPSG-IRO Inter-faith Dialogue topic will be on “Non-violent communication” and will be held on the 28th of January 2010, 7.30pm at OnePeople.sg Hall of Trust. For any enquiries, kindly contact Ms Heryanti at 6258 6828 or send an email to: heryanti@onepeople.sg.
