The HarmonyWorks! Conference is OnePeople.sg's flagship youth programme targeted at students from the Secondary Schools, Junior Colleges (JC), Institute of Technical Educations (ITE), Polytechnics, Madrasahs and International Schools.
HarmonyWorks! Conference 2011 to be held at Republic Polytechnic, The Republic Cultural Centre on 9 July 2011 will mark the launch of the month-long Orange Ribbon Celebrations spearheaded by OnePeople.sg (OPSG), supported by our key partners, the Community Development Councils, Self-Help Groups, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education and People’s Association.
The theme for HarmonyWorks! Conference 2011 “HOME - Joint HOpes, Shared MEmories” will engaged 600 youth participants from various institutions to reflect on their aspirations for shaping our future together and focus on meaningful experiences that are treasured and shared among diverse ethnic and religious communities. The Conference will explore the ‘Singapore Spirit’ and youths will be challenged to think about how they can play a role in forming bonds within our community, as well as with the new citizens. It is a time for Singaporean youths to take the lead in promoting racial harmony and strengthening our nation by being advocates and through Service Learning.
