ONE Charity Golf 2011

Held on the 24th March 2011 from 12-9 pm at the Orchid Country Club, the inaugural Charity Golf Tournament is a charity drive to raise funds for OnePeople.sg’s programmes and initiatives in the mission of championing Racial Harmony.

OnePeople.sg is a registered charity and has been accorded the Institution of Public Character (IPC) status. Since its launch, the organisation has implemented significant initiatives to foster deeper understanding between our diverse ethnic and religious communities.

Donors were invited for a round of golf with our Guest of Honor, Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister of State, Ministry of Education & Ministry of Home Affairs.

OnePeople.sg held its inaugural One Charity Golf 2011 on Wednesday, 24th March 2011 at the Orchid Country Club. This golf tournament is a charity drive to raise funds for the organisations’ programmes and initiative for the next 2 years to help further its cause in fostering deeper understanding between the diverse ethnic and religious communities in Singapore.

To date the organisation has managed to raise a total amount of $155,000 from donors from the various organisations who have supported either via sale of flights or outright donations.

A total of 29 golf flights with 177 participants took part in the charity golf tournament on the day. The tournament was teed off exactly at 1.30pm with Mr. Vincent Chua from Taman Jurong CCC bagging home the champion’s trophy with the highest score of 39 points for the day. Golfers were then treated to a sumptuous buffet dinner spread at the Emerald Suite where the winners for the day were presented with their prizes and trophies.
