CampTeen: Youth Racial Harmony Ambassadors Programme 2009 was a residential camp programme organised by OnePeople.sg. Participants went through a residential programme from 6-9 November 2009 at MOE Labrador Adventure Centre to enhance multi-cultural appreciation, and hone leadership and project management skills.
The theme "What Are You Made Of?" enabled our youths to explore the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship and Respect through multicultural exchanges, outdoor adventure, experiential learning and dialogues with political leaders, academics and past Olympians.

The most unique feature of CampTeen 2009 was the creation of a 16 by 9 feet wide artwork ‘COLOURS OF HARMONY’ unveiled at the Finale of the camp. Capturing the scenes which depict the Olympic Values, the youths created a huge photo artwork as a display of multiculturalism and an expression of their personal support towards the Olympic values.
An exciting component of the camp was the HarmonyWorks! Dialogue on Saturday, 7 Nov 2009 held at Fairfield Methodist Secondary Schools where youths were invited to exchange their thoughts and views on the Olympic values. Guest-of-Honour, Mr Wee Siew Kim, MP for AMK GRC and Vice-Chairman of OnePeople.sg as well as guest speakers, Mr C. Kunalan, an outstanding sportsman who had lived the Olympics experience and Dr Alex Ong, Assistant Director of Republic Poly, School of Sports, Health, and Leisure shared their views on the theme with the students.
As participants reflected on the experiences they shared and the strong friendship they have forged, they are posed with another challenge: To subsequently realise their ideas discussed at the Camp and implement youth-initiated community projects with their new friends. CampTeen is not an end, but the beginning of an exciting journey with OnePeople.sg!
