Ground Sensing Workshop

The workshop equips the participants with the necessary know-how to better understand ground issues and manage racially-charged situations before it escalates. Accurate ground sensing is key to understanding ground issues and participants will be taught a framework to perform this task effectively.

 

Workshop Objectives

  • Understanding the impact of ground issues and developing the right
    techniques for ground sensing
  • Identifying the barriers and fault lines to community engagement
  • Learn techniques and skills in mediation and facilitating a conflict of a racial/religious nature within the community

Programme Outline:

  • Why is Singapore particularly vulnerable to Racial issues?
  • Barriers and fault lines resulting from these issues
  • The critical steps to handle Racial issues
  • Communication Reinforcement – at a quick glance
  • 6-Step framework for accurate sensing
  • Participants will be equipped with skills and understand the necessary steps for accurate ground sensing. There will be also interactive role-plays based on real-life case studies
