 In CampTeen, Past Events

Tanzania, USA, Germany, Britain, Thailand, South Korea, Armenia. Wow…!

More than 230 youths from these countries and our local youths had made the first move to forge friendships beyond their comfort zones!

Leveraging on the recent landmark study, Indicators of Racial and Religious Harmony, CampTeen 2013 called on youths to address the bottom 2 indicators; “Interest in intercultural understanding and close cross cultural friendships”. These youths from over 30 local and international schools as well as Madrasahs came together to bond and forge inter-racial friendships through the 4 Days 3 Nights Camp. Youths of different backgrounds visited heritage and religious institutions such as the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, Sree Ramar Temple, St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Masjid Sultan Mosque and the Armenian Church. This cross cultural exchange is part of the experiential learning journey that had brought a whole new experience for the youths.
